A connected complex Lie group without nonconstant holomorphic functions is said to be an (H,C)-group or a toroidal group. In this paper, an analogue of the refined Chern class is given and holomorphic sections of line bundles over an (H,C)-group are studied. As an application one gets that every meromorphically separable (H,C)-group is quasi-abelian.
