This ``brief communication'' introduces a complex version of the Lagrange Grassmannian for \(\mathbb C^{2n}\). The complex Lagrange Grassmannian turns out to be \(U(n)\), the manifold of unitary matrices. \(U(n)\) is a compactification of the manifold of skew Hermitian matrices, in analogy with the real case, where the Lagrange Grassmannian \(O(n)/U(n)\) is the compactification of the symmetric matrices. The method is short and elegant: In a slight generalization of the complex symplectic structure the author introduces the notion of \(C\)-symplectoid forms, symplectic forms being invariant under multiplication by complex numbers of the unit circle. This is used to construct a Hermitian structure of signature 0 on \(\mathbb C^{2n} \). Lagrangian subspaces appear as unitary operators on \(\mathbb C^n\).
