The author obtained in his previous papers four compacton solutions and four singular periodic solutions of \(R(m,m)\) equations and \(R(1,n)\) equations. Here the author derives four types of solitary pattern solutions having infinite slopes or cusps and four solitary wave solutions of \(R(m,m)\) equations and \(R(1,n)\) equations. It is shown that not only the equations with nonlinear dispersion, \(R(m,m)\) equations with \(m> 1\), possess the solitary pattern solutions, which is similar to the conclusion for \(K(m,m)\). Moreover, the author also proves that \(R(m,m)\) equations with \(m< 1\) and \(R(1,n)\) equations with \(n> 1\) possess the solitary wave solutions.
