The author discusses the relationship between various notions of maximal monotonicity for multi-functions, and proves, in particular, that every maximal monotone multi-function of type (D) is locally maximal monotone, and every maximal monotone multi-function of type (ED) is strongly maximal monotone and maximal monotone locally.
