The author studies the solution of a linear system of partial differential equations as time tends to infinity. This system is used in the modeling of Boussinesq approximation which describes the vertical cross-section of a viscous stratified fluid. Existence of the solution is stated in theorem 1 with proof referenced elsewhere. In theorem 2, an asymptotic approximation of this solution is given. Under the assumptions that \(x^2+ z^2\geq (R+ \delta)^2\), \(R> 0\), \(\delta> 0\), an approximation of the solution is obtained through a series of estimates including Watson's lemma.
