Let \(L\{1,x,\ldots,x^{n-1}\}\) be the linear span of functions \(1,x,\ldots,x^{n-1}\). In this work, the set of all ordinary differential operators leaving \(L\{1,x,\ldots,x^{n-1}\}\) invariant is completely described. He author obtains a complete description of the subset of translation-invariant operators and the subset of translation-invariant operators of submaximal order for \(n\leq 4\).
