The author presents a variant of a variationally iterative method for solving equations with nonlinear unbounded operators mapping a dense subspace of a Banach space into its conjugate space. Theorems state the uniqueness of solution and give an error estimation. The adopted assumptions allow the author to use well known results on linear equations in Hilbert spaces. The paper extends some earlier results obtained by the author.
