This paper develops a solution domain decomposition method for the steady-state solutions of biharmonic equations arising in the study of viscous incompressible fluid flows. It combines the domain decomposition method with Chebyshev collocations for spatial discretization. The interactions between subdomains are effectively decoupled by the auxiliary solutions yielding a set of independent elementary problems which can be solved concurrently on multiprocessor computers. Solutions to a number of problems, including two-dimensional steady flow in a driven cavity, are obtained for the assessment of the method. The methodology proposed does not affect the convergence and stability of the discretization scheme. It retains the spectral accuracy with absolute error decaying exponentially. The numerical solution presented for driven square cavity compares favorably with existing results.
