The paper deals with the problem of numerical modelling of the scattering of acoustic and electromagnetic waves on a cube whose edge length is up to 8 times the wave length of the incident wave. The cube has a noncommutative finite symmetry group of order 48. For that reason, the problem of wave scattering on a cube belongs to the class of boundary value problems with a noncommutative finite symmetry group. The paper describes a scheme using a representation of the boundary integral equation in the form of an operator convolution equation on the symmetry group of the cube. The results of numerical solutions of integral equations of first and second kind are compared for scalar and vector problems of diffraction of a plane wave on a cube.
