The purpose of the paper is to construct a general model of a nonlinear input-output system that consists of finitely many interconnected blocks. This model encompasses all configurations used in control with several feedback and feedforward loops, and is necessary in the design of modern control systems, power amplifiers, VLS systems etc. Assuming that one block of the system is a plant affected by perturbations, the author obtains conditions guaranteeing linear insensitivity and/or robust stability of the whole system. In particular, the paper considers systems whose variables are continuous vector-valued functions on \([0,\infty)\), and whose blocks are described by nonlinear Volterra operators. The application of the obtained results is illustrated on several examples of feedback-feedforward systems.
