Let \(M\) be a smooth closed orientable manifold and let \(f\) be a gradient-like Morse-Smale diffeomorphism of \(M\). The authors define a property of trivial embedding for stable and unstable manifolds of saddle periodic points of \(f\) and give necessary and sufficient conditions for topological conjugacy of two diffeomorphisms satisfying this property.
