The main result of this paper is a characterization of perfect maps in the setting of fuzzy spaces. A map is called perfect iff it is continuous, closed and has compact (in the reviewer's sense) fibers. It is shown that these maps can be nicely characterized via an extension of the usual topological characterization, i.e. they are precisely those continuous maps f for which \(f\times 1_ Z\) is a closed map for each fuzzy space Z.
