The author studies the Sugeno integral with respect to a discrete fuzzy measure \(\mu: 2^n\to [0,1]\) (i.e., a monotone function with \(\mu(\emptyset)= 0\) and \(\mu(\{1,\dots, n\})= 1\). Identifying a real-valued function on \(\{1,\dots, n\}\) with a vector \((x_1,\dots, x_n)\) the Sugeno integral is considered as aggregation function, i.e., a real-valued function \(M(x_1,\dots, x_n)\) of \(n\) variables. The paper contains necessary and sufficient conditions that an aggregation function is a Sugeno integral or belongs to particular subclasses of this integral [see also \textit{J.-L. Marichal}, Fuzzy measures and integrals. Theory and applications. Stud. Fuzziness Soft Comput. 40, 3-41 (2000)].
