The bending of a sandwich plate with a tunable auxetic core is investigated. The plate has functionally graded material (FGM) at top and bottom of the plate and auxetic core at the middle. Poisson's ratio of the core is tunable, and it has different values for different angle parameters of the unit cell of the core. The materials of the core have positive or negative values of Poisson ratio. It means that the auxetic core can consists how from metamaterials so and from traditional materials. The governing equations of the FGM sandwich plate are derived using variational principle. Numerical examples for the sandwich plate are carried out. Solutions of the problem are obtained using differential quadrature method. The effects of the geometry parameters, gradient index, parameters of the auxetic core and boundary conditions on the deflection and stresses are investigated. The conclusions are made from these investigations.
