Linking and existence results for perturbations of the \(p\)-Laplacian (Q1587220): Difference between revisions

This paper refines and improves some existence results for two Dirichlet problems involving the \(p\)-Laplacian from Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl. 24, No. 3, 409-418 (1995; Zbl 0818.35029) by \textit{D. G. Costa} and \textit{C. A. Magalhães}. The authors use two linking situations, expressed in terms of the two first eigenvalues \(\lambda_1\) and \(\lambda_2\) of the \(p\)-Laplacian operator with Dirichlet boundary data, and the linking theorem of \textit{P. Bartolo}, \textit{V. Benci} and \textit{D. Fortunato} [Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl. 7, 981-1012 (1983; Zbl 0522.58012)] with the Palais-Smale type condition by Cerami to prove their two main results.
