Let \(D\) be a domain in the complex plane bounded by a closed Lyapunov curve. Singular integral operators on the space \(L_{p}(D)\) of the form \[ A=a_{0}I+b_{0}K+\sum_{m=1}^{2}(a_{m}I+b_{m}K)\bar{S}_{m} \] are investigated where the operators \(K\) and \(S_{m}\) are defined by the formulas \((Kf)(z)=\overline{f(z)}\), \[ (S_{m}f)(z) = \frac{(-1)^{m}m}{\pi} \iint_{D}\frac{e^{-2im\theta}}{|\zeta-z|^{2}} f(\zeta)\,ds_{\zeta},\] \(\bar S_{m}=KS_{m}K\), \(\theta=\arg(\zeta-z)\), \(ds_{\zeta}\) is an element of the planar Lebesgue measure, the coefficients are continuous functions on the closure of \(D\). Necessary and sufficient conditions are obtained for these operators to have the Fredholm property (the Noether property in the authors' terminology) and a formula is given for calculating the index of such an operator.
