Let \(\Gamma=\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathbb Z)\) and \(S_{k}\) be the set of all cusp form of weight \(k\) on \(\Gamma\). For \(f\in S_{k}\), it is important to understand the size of \(f\) and the distribution of its mass for large \(k\). The authors of the paper under review consider \(F(z)=y^{(k/2)}f(z)\), and try to bound the \(L^{p}\)-norm of F for \(2<p<\infty\), to quantitative the question under investigation. They use Watson's formula [\textit{T.C. Watson}, Rankin triple products and quantum chaos. Princeton: Princeton University (PhD Thesis) (2002)] to prove an upper bound for the \(L^4\)-norm and \(L^2\)-norm restricted to the vertical geodesic of a holomorphic Hecke cusp form f of large weight \(k\). They give also some applications to restriction problems of Siegel modular forms.
