Let \(G\) be a finite cyclic group, and \(M\) a closed smooth \(G\)-manifold with only a single isotropy type \(H\leq G\). In other words, every point of \(M\) has a stabilizer subgroup under the \(G\) action that is isomorphic to \(H\). The authors show that \(M\) is algebraically realized in the sense that it is equivariantly diffeomorophic to a non-singular real algebraic \(G\)-variety \(X\). Moreover, every \(G\)-vector bundle over \(X\) is strongly algebraic: its classifying map is equivariantly homotopic to an equivariant entire rational map, where the classifying space \({\mathfrak G}\) of all \(G\)-vector bundles is taken to be the direct limit of real algebraic \(G\)-varieties. The proof amounts to showing, by means of rather involved spectral sequence computations, that every class in the equivariant unoriented bordism ring for manifolds with a single isotropy type \({\mathcal N}_\ast^G[\{H\}]({\mathfrak G})\) has an algebraic representative. The results in this paper form a key ingredient in the general realization problem for cyclic groups (without restriction on the isotropy types), which the same authors solve in a subsequent paper.
