Two types of equivalency are discussed: energic equivalence and causal equivalence. These two types of equivalency are illustrated through the development of equivalent scalar and vector-array reticulations for a boundary value problem in finite elasticity. In addition, the notion of a ``macro'' reticulation is introduced. A ``macro'' reticulation serves as a template for all other members of a reticulation family. These other members are then obtained through formal variable mapping procedures.
