The Addition Theorem (AT) says that the algebraic entropy of a group \(G\) equals -- with respect to all endomorphisms of \(G\) -- to the sum of the entropy of the restriction of any endomorphism to any normal subgroup, which is invariant with respect to it, and the entropy of induced endomorphism of the factor-group by this normal subgroup. The cases of some special classes of groups \(G\) was repeatedly considered earlier. It is known that this theorem is not true for metabelian groups. In this article, the addition theorem is proved for two-step nilpotent torsion groups. Also some other results, associated with AT and concerning locally finite groups, are considered.
