In [``Long-range order for antiferromagnetic Potts models'', Phys. Rev. B (3) 31, No. 5, 3088--3092 (1985; \url{doi:10.1103/physrevb.31.3088})], \textit{R. Kotecký} conjectured that the 3-state antiferromagnetic Potts model underwent an order-disorder phase transition at a nonzero temperature on \(\mathbb{Z}^d\) for large enough dimensions. Moreover, at low enough temperatures, the ordered state was conjectured to follow one of six patterns. In this article, the authors prove this result for large enough dimensions. The critical dimension at which this phase transition happens is still unresolved.
