A Lidstone series provides a generalisation of Taylor's series that approximates a given function in a neighbourhood of two points instead of one. In [\textit{M. E. H. Ismail} and \textit{Z. S. I. Mansour}, Anal. Appl., Singap. 17, No. 6, 853--895 (2019; Zbl 1423.05029)] the authors introduced a \(q\)-analogue of the Lidstone expansion theorem. They proved that, under certain conditions, an entire function \(f(z)\) can be expanded in the form \[ f(z)=\sum_{n=0}^\infty \left(A_n(z)\mathcal{D}^{2n}_{q^{-1}} f(1) - B_n(z)\mathcal{D}^{2n}_{q^{-1}}f(0) \right), \] where \(A_n(z)\) and \(B_n(z)\) are \(q\)-Lidstone polynomials. In this work, the authors construct \(q\)-Lidstone polynomials which are \(q\)-Bernoulli and \(q\)-Euler polynomials generated by the third Jackson \(q\)-Bessel function, and then they derive two formulas of the \(q\)-Lidstone expansion theorem.
