In this paper, the existence of positive $2\pi$-periodic solutions of a neutral functional differential equation of third order with delayed derivative terms in nonlinearity is investigated. There are results of this paper. These are Theorem 3.1 and Theorem 3.2, respectively. Both of these theorems include sufficient conditions such that the considered neutral functional differential equation of third order has at least one positive 2π-periodic solution. The technique of the proofs of the theorems is based on the application of the fixed point index theory on cones. Two examples are given to verify applications of these theorems in particular cases of the considered equation. The results of this paper extend some earlier result that can be found in the relevant literature.
