The authors of the paper under review discuss relations between the following three results: \begin{itemize} \item[(1)] Luecking's theorem [\textit{D. H. Luecking}, Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 136, No. 5, 1717--1723 (2008; Zbl 1152.47021)], saying that there are no nontrivial finite rank Toeplitz operators; \item[(2)] Benedicks' uncertainty principle [\textit{M. Benedicks}, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 106, 180--183 (1985; Zbl 0576.42016)][, saying that if for a square integrable function \(f\) both sets \(\{x:f(x)\ne 0\}\) and \(\{\xi:\widehat{f}(\xi)\ne 0\}\) have finite measure, then \(f=0\); \item[(3)] Demange's uncertainty principle [\textit{B. Demange}, J. Lond. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 72, No. 3, 717--730 (2005; Zbl 1090.42004)] for the Fourier-Wigner transform. \end{itemize}
