The authors construct Riesz bases for the Gellerstedt boundary value problems for the Lavrentiev-Bisadtze equation \(u_{xx} + (\mathrm{sgn}y)u_{yy}+\lambda u=0\) in the open upper half-disk of unit radius and in a domain which is the union of the open upper half-disk of unit radius and two open right triangles in the lower half-plane.
