Let \(K\) be a closed convex and bounded subset of a Banach space which is uniformly convex and \(q\)-uniformly smooth. Let \(T: K \rightarrow K\) be pseudocontractive and Lipschitzian map, then the fixed points set \(F(T)\) is a sunny nonexpansive retract of \(K\), i.e. there exists a nonexpansive retraction \(U: K \rightarrow F(T)\) such that \(U(tx + (1-t)Ux) = Ux\) for each \(x \in K\) and \(t \geq 0\) with \(tx + (1-t)Ux \in K\). The convergence of iteration procedures to fixed points of \(T\) is also studied.
