[For parts I and II see Integral Equations Oper. Theory 38, 207--221 (2000; Zbl 0970.47016); ibid. 42, 99--124 (2002; Zbl 1002.47012).] This paper is concerned with the operator theory in \(H^2(D^2)\). The self-commutators for certain operator pairs are studied and some numerical invariants for submodules are given. The end of this paper is concerned with fringe operator theory.
