Formal connections for families of star products (Q261610): Difference between revisions

This paper introduces a formal connection for a smooth family of star products with fixed underlying symplectic structure. This formal connection generalizes the Hitchin connection, obtained by the first author. In this work, the authors first give a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of formal connections. The classification of the formal connections is also discussed. The space of formal connections is then described. Finally, the authors prove that if the parameter space has trivial first cohomology group, there is an automorphism between any two flat formal connections.
