Let \({\mathcal D}\) be the collection of all sets of natural numbers which have a density. Let \({\mathcal D}/\sim\) be its quotient modulo sets of zero density. We take a collection \({\mathcal F}\subseteq{\mathcal D}\) closed under intersections. Then \({\mathcal F}/\sim\) is contained in a Boolean \(\sigma\)-algebra \(\Sigma\subseteq{\mathcal D}\) on which the density is \(\sigma\)-additive. If, moreover, \({\mathcal F}/\sim\) is countable and the corresponding density measure atomless, then \(\Sigma\) is isomorphic to the measure algebra on the unit interval. The proof is based on classical results and [\textit{P. De Lucia} and \textit{P. Morales}, Stud. Math. 101, No. 2, 123--138 (1992; Zbl 0812.28009)]. Surprisingly, it uses \(L^p\) spaces over non-distributive measure algebras.
