The authors consider the problem of classification of oriented cycles of linear mappings over the fields of real and complex numbers, within the homeomorphisms of spaces. This is reduced to the problem of classification of linear operators to within the homeomorphisms of spaces studied by \textit{N. H. Kuiper} and \textit{J. W. Robbin} [Invent. Math. 19, 83--106 (1973; Zbl 0251.58008)].
