The authors analyze the \(hp\)-version of the discontinuous Galerkin finite element method for the numerical solution of the second-order quasilinear elliptic boundary-value problem of the monotone type. They derive both a priori and a posteriori bounds on the error, measured in terms of the corresponding (DGFEM) energy norm, for the proposed numerical schemes. Numerical experiments are presented for both two- and three- dimensional problems to demonstrate the performance of the a posteriori error bound obtained.
