The authors consider the set \(\mathcal{M}\) of (pseudo-Anosov) mapping classes coming from fibrations of the magic manifold \(N\) with the condition: if we let \(\mathcal{F}\) be the stable foliation associated to the fibration on \(N\), then \(\mathcal{F}\) has the property that any boundary component of \(F\) has no \(1\)-prong. Let \(\mathcal{\widehat{M}}\) be the set of extensions \(\widehat{\phi}\) of \(\phi \in \mathcal{M}\) defined on the closed surfaces. Let \(\widehat{\delta}_g\) be the minimum among dilatations of elements in \(\widehat{M}\cap \text{Mod}(\Sigma _g)\), where \(\text{Mod }(\Sigma)\) is the mapping class group of the connected oriented surface \(\Sigma _g\). The first important result of the paper is contained in Theorem 1.4: (1) We have \(\lim _{ g\rightarrow \infty} g \log \widehat{\delta}_g =\log (\frac{3+\sqrt{5}}{3})\). (2) For large \(g, \widehat{\delta}_g\) is achieved by the monodromy of some \(\Sigma _g\)-bundle over the circle obtained from either \(N(\frac{3}{-2})\) or \(N(\frac{1}{-2})\) by Dehn filling both cusps, where \(N(r)\) is the manifold obtained from \(N\) by Dehn filling one cusp along the slope \(r \in \mathbb{Q}\). Similar results are given in \(\mathcal{\widehat{M}}\) defined on \(\Sigma _g\) with orientable invariant foliations when \(g \equiv 0 (\mod 6)\) (Theorem 1.5). If \(\delta ^+_g\) is the minimal dilatation of pseudo-Anosovs with orientable invariant foliations defined on \(\Sigma _g\), then some sharp upper bounds \(\delta ^+_g\) are given in Theorems 1.6--1.8. The paper is organized as follows: Introduction (Minimal dilatations of pseudo-Anosovs; Thurston norm and fibered \(3\)-manifolds; Finiteness of Farb, Leininger, Margalit and Agol; Thurston norm and Teichmüller polynomial of the magic manifold; Main results; Thurston norm equivalence, entropy equivalence on manifolds \(N(r)\); Question by Lanneau and Thiffeault; Idea of proofs and conjectures), Magic manifold (Fibered face; Entropy function with symmetries; Thurston norm of manifolds \(N(r)\); Thurston norm equivalence on manifolds \(N(r)\); Entropy equivalence on fibered \(3\)-manifolds), Proofs of main results, \(1\)-cusped manifolds with small volume, Remarks. Other authors' articles directly connected to this topic are [Exp. Math. 18, No. 4, 397--407 (2009; Zbl 1181.37061)], as well as papers of \textit{E. Kin} and \textit{M. Takasawa} [Commun. Anal.
