Isospectral operators (Q403545): Difference between revisions

The authors identify isospectral operators within the classes of integral operators for Markov pure jump processes and elliptic second-order differential operators. Particular examples are given, and conclusions on the positivity of the principal eigenvalue for birth-death processes are obtained.
