The authors consider a certain generalization of the non-tangential convergence in the unit disc, where they start with a decreasing function \(\lambda:(0,1)\to \mathbb R^+\) with \(\lim_{r\to 1}\lambda(r)=0\) and say that a family of functions \(F_r\) defined on the unit circle \(\mathbb T\) is \(\lambda\)-convergent at a point \(e^{ix}\in \mathbb T\) whenever there exists \(A\in \mathbb C\) such that \[ \lim_{r\to 1} \sup_{|x-y|\leq \lambda(r)}|F_r(e^{iy})-A|=0. \] Also, they introduce a generalization of the Poisson-Stieltjes integral \[ \Phi_r(x,d\mu)=\int_{\mathbb T}\phi_r(x-y)d\mu(y) \] with respect to families of kernels \(\phi_r\in L^\infty(\mathbb T)\) satisfying the assumptions \( \lim_{r\to 1}\int_{\mathbb T}\phi_r(x)dx=1\), \( \lim_{r\to 1}\sup_{|x|\leq |y|\leq \pi} |\phi_r(y)|=0\) for all \(0<|x|\leq \pi\) and \(\sup_{0<r<1}\int_{\mathbb T} \sup_{|x|\leq |y|\leq \pi} |\phi_r(y)|<\infty\). The aim of the paper is to study Fatou-type theorems in this setting. In particular, they show that a necessary and sufficient condition for the almost-everywhere \(\lambda\)-convergence of \(\Phi_r(x,\mu)\) is that \(\limsup_{r\to 1}\lambda(r)\|\phi_r\|_\infty<\infty\). Other conditions are found for \(d\mu(y)=f(y)dy\) whenever \(f\in L^1(\mathbb T)\) or \(f\in L^\infty(\mathbb T)\).
