In recent papers bounded remainder sets for multidimensional irrational rotations were intensively studied; see for instance [\textit{S. Grepstad} and \textit{N. Lev}, Geom. Funct. Anal. 25, No. 1, 87--133 (2015; Zbl 1318.11097)] or Part I of these series [the first and third author, Isr. J. Math. 212, No. 1, 189--201 (2016; Zbl 1341.11043)]. Using an approach of \textit{M. Duneau} and \textit{C. Oguey} [``Displacive transformations and quasicrystalline symmetries'', J. Physique 51, No. 1, 5--19 (1990; \url{doi:10.1051/jphys:019900051010500})], it is shown how some of these results can easily be obtained from a purely geometric argument.
