    In this work, the author shows that the problem \[ u''a(t)=a(t)V'(u(t)), \quad u(-\infty)=q_1, \quad u(\infty)=q_2, \quad u'>0, \] has at least one solution if the following conditions are fulfilled: \(V\in C^1(\mathbb R)\), \(V(q_i)=0\), \(V''(q_i)>0\), \(i=1,2\), \(V'>0\) on \((q_1,q_0)\), \(V'<0\) on \((q_0,q_2)\), \(a\) is measurable, \(\operatorname{inf }a>0\), \(\sup a<\infty\), \(a(t)-a(-t)\to 0\) as \(|t|\to\infty\), \(a(t+T)=a(t)\), \(t\in\mathbb R\), where \(q_0\), \(q_1\), \(q_2\) are numbers such that \(q_1<q_0<q_2\) and \(a\) is a measurable function. If \(0(a)\neq\mathbb R\), where \(0\) is a set consisting of all functions \(u^{-1}(q_0)\), then (1) has infinitely many solutions.
