The author studies two classes of difference equations which are piecewise-linear and of similar forms. He shows that solutions to these equations are bounded and eventually solve the linear difference equation \[ x_{n+1}= x_n- x_{n-1},\qquad n= 0,1,\dots\;. \] After that the author concludes that every nontrivial solution of an equation from the given two classes is eventually periodic with prime period six.
