The author treats bi-parameter singular integrals \(T\) on the product space \(\mathbb R^n\times \mathbb R^m\) represented by a kernel function \(K(x,y)\) as \[ \langle Tf,f\rangle=\int_{\mathbb R^n\times \mathbb R^m} \int_{\mathbb R^n\times \mathbb R^m}K(x,y)f(y)g(x)dxdy \] for \(f(x)=f_1(x_1)f_2(x_2)\), \(g(x)=g_1(x_1)g_2(x_2)\) \((x=(x_1,x_2)\in \mathbb R^n\times \mathbb R^m)\) and \(\text{supp}f_1\cap\text{supp}g_1=\emptyset\), \(\text{supp}f_2\cap\text{supp}g_2=\emptyset\). And further \(K\) satisfies the size condition \[ |K(x,y)|\leq C|x_1-y_1|^{-n}|x_2-y_2|^{-m} \] and adequate Hölder-type smoothness conditions. The author gives a dyadic representation theorem for the above bi-parameter singular integrals, i.e. he represents them as averages of rapidly decaying sums of what one calls bi-parameter dyadic shifts. His result is an extension of the one for the ordinary Calderón-Zygmund singular integrals, which was given by \textit{T. Hytönen}, [The sharp weighted bound for general Calderón-Zygmund operators, Ann. Math. 175, 1473--1506 (2012; Zbl 1250.42036)]. To show his result, he uses the useful machinery of non-homogeneous analysis pioneered by Nazarov, Treil and Volberg in the context of bi-parameter theory. A new version of the product space \(T1\) theorem is given as a consequence.
