The author has found two curriculum vitae of Hermann Graßmann, so far known in excerpts only. Written on different occasions, they are distinct. The first one comes from 1831 when Graßmann applied for the position of a gymnasium teacher. The second one was written in 1833/34 with the aim to become a Protestant Pastor. Complete texts of both are edited here for the first time (the first one in the original Latin and its German translation, the second in the original German) and provided with elucidating comments. Taken together, they offer a glimpse into Graßmann's personality and motivations of his mathematical ideas. They testify to a strong influence of Schleiermacher's theology and philosophy.
