The authors prove existence and a certain stability of travelling wave solutions to a so-called competitive recursion model, which is an integro-difference equation. The travelling waves found here may not be monotone, which poses additional technical constraints and does not allow to apply previous results in this field. For the existence, a cross iteration scheme using super- and subsolutions is employed. The travelling waves are invasions of two competitive invaders. Since the Cauchy problem is delicate, stability refers to a perturbation of a travelling wave compared with two travelling waves of the same wavespeed.
