The authors consider a 3D finite volume numerical method used to compute the electrical activity of the myocardium on unstructured meshes, and specifically give conditions on the time-step to ensure a \(L^{\infty}\) stability property for an explicit and a semi-implicit time-stepping method, convergence is proved and error estimates are given. The monodomain equation is a nonlinear parabolic PDE of reaction-diffusion type, coupled to one or several ODE, with multiple time scale.
