The paper is concerned with the solution of the inverse scattering problem of determining the refractive index of an inhomogeneous medium from far-field measurements. The authors introduce a two-step reconstruction procedure in the Born approximation regime. The first step is to apply the linear sampling method to the far-field data giving information on the support of the scatterer. Then the projected Landweber method is applied to the linearized problem to obtain super-resolution effects via out-of-band extrapolation. Some numerical examples in the 2D case are presented.
