New objects called by authors ``translation generalized ovals'' and ``translation generalized ovoids'' are defined and thoroughly studied in the paper. The concepts are introduced in the finite projective space \(\text{PG}(2n + m -1)\) over \(\text{GF}(q)\), thus generalizing the concept of translation oval in \(\text{PG}(2,q)\) with \(q\) even and are interpreted geometrically. Then some new characterizations of the \(T_2(O)\) of Tits of order \(q\), \(q\) even, are obtained. The generalized ovoid is introduced in \(\text{PG}(4n - 1, q)\), \(q\) even and this is studied and used for proving a theorem given by \textit{N. L. Johnson} [Simon Stevin 61, 313--326 (1987; Zbl 0645.51005)].
