The main result of this paper is Theorem 1.4. For generic choices of the parameters defining the boundary conditions, the moduli space \(\mathcal{M}_{n, k}\) of charge-\(k\) \(\mathrm{SO}(3)\) periodic monopoles with \(n\) isolated singularities is a smooth hyper-Kähler manifold of dimension \(4k-4\), provided it is not empty. Here, the charge is a certain topological invariant of a monopole. The final section contains the proof of the dimension formula, i.e., the computation of the index of a certain Dirac-type operator.
