A complex analytic subset Z of a complex manifold Y is said to be with locally stable parametrization if (i) the normalization \(X\to Z\) desingularizes Z, and (ii) the natural map \(X\to Y\) is locally stable in the sense that each point has a neighborhood any unfolding of which is trivial. In the paper under review, the author studies the general theory of deformations of such pair (Y,Z). In particular, the existence of the Kuranishi family is announced. This unifies the two cases, one in which Z is with normal crossings and the other in which Z has ordinary singularities.
