In the main theorem of this paper, the existence of at least three prime closed geodesics is established for every Finsler 3-sphere satisfying some pinching condition. This result is based on the series of theorems following from the results of \textit{H.-B. Rademacher} [Ergodic Theory Dyn. Syst. 27, No. 3, 957--969 (2007; Zbl 1124.53018)], describing the properties of the linearized Poincaré map of closed geodesics.
