The main theorem describes the automorphism group of an arbitrary finite direct product \(G=H_1^{\beta_1}\times\cdots\times H_n^{\beta_n}\), where the \(H_i\) are all distinct and indecomposable and \(\beta_i\geq 1\) (\(1\leq i\leq n\)). The result generalizes previous work of \textit{J. N. S. Bidwell, M. J. Curran} and \textit{D. J. McCaughan} on \(\Aut(H\times K)\), where \(H\) and \(K\) have no common direct factor [part I, Arch. Math. 86, No. 6, 481-489 (2006; Zbl 1103.20016)].
