A set \(N\) of reals is said to be microscopic if for each \(\varepsilon>0\) there exists a sequence \((I_n)^\infty_{n=1}\) of intervals such that \(N\subset \cup^\infty_{n=1}I_n\) and \(m(I_n)\leq \varepsilon^n\) for each \(n\) (\(m(I_n)\) -- the Lebesgue measure of \(I_n\)). The main result of the paper asserts that the set of all continuous nowhere monotone functions which are one-to-one on \([0,1]\) except on some microscopic set is residual in \(C(0,1)\).
