A nonlinear convection diffusion reaction system is numerically treated by means of an operator splitting approach. The convective part is solved by a Riemann solver and the diffusion part by a finite volume method. The reaction part is treated by an approximation to an integral equation. The treatment of boundary conditions is discussed in detail and convergence is proved. Numerical experiments are documented.
