The paper deals with problems around residuation and divisibility. Five different topics are considered, each of them discussed within a section which could be considered as a paper in its own right. The author gives in detail contributions to Jakubík chains, to states, to hoops and rings, to GMV-algebras and, finally, to constructing divisibility structures from given ones. The reader will get informed about the historical background of the topic, and, due to the author's deep knowledge of it, the presentation is extremely clear and readable.
